So how does the NZTE Capability Voucher Scheme work?
Small businesses may qualify for vouchers to help pay for services such as training workshops, courses and coaching that build the management capabilities of their owners, operators or key managers.
NZTE Capability Development Vouchers are only available through Regional Business Partners around New Zealand. Regional Business Partners assess local businesses to determine what their needs are, and assist them with a plan to help them develop, grow and innovate.
Vouchers may be allocated as part of the plan to help businesses pay for up to 50% of the cost of services from registered providers that improve management capabilities in targeted areas. For more information on the NZTE Capability Development Voucher scheme or to find your local Regional Business Partner click here…
There is an eligibility criteria to meet and provided it is met, a Regional Business Partner will issue you with a virtual voucher against a specified service category. This will enable you to receive a financial subsidy of up to 50% towards the cost of training under a registered service such as Leone Evans Coaching.
You are then able to make direct contact with the service provider and agree on the training that will be provided. The service provider will set up the training sessions and the virtual voucher applied to that session.
To be eligible for a voucher a business must:
have undergone assessment by a Regional Business Partner
be operating with 50 or fewer FTEs
be GST registered in New Zealand
be operating in a commercial environment – i.e. you’re currently trading
be privately owned or a Maori Trust or Incorporation under the Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993 or similar organisation managing Maori assets under multiple ownership.
Business should also:
have the potential and desire to grow
demonstrate commitment to improving management capability - indicators of commitment include seeking advice, working through the assessment process, and a willingness to co-fund and commit time to capability-building activities
have an identified gap in its capability that can be addressed through management capability building and training.
How you apply...
To access the Capability Development Vouchers you must first meet with your local Regional Business Partner and undergo an assessment of your business, its background and history, current position and future aspirations and your management capability and skills.
This assessment will enable the Regional Business Partner to determine your eligibility for a voucher and the value of that voucher. You can get in touch with your Regional Business Partner by registering as a ‘New Business User’ on the Regional Business Partners website.
You can also click here to find contact details for your local partner using the regional contact details listed - Regional Business Partners by Region and make direct contact to arrange to meet.
It’s important you have confidence that coaching will help you with your situation.
I offer a free 30 minute consultation so together we can explore how coaching could help and if I think I can be of assistance to you.
